Who Is The Weakest Link In The Indian Team

Kamzaur khiladi kaun..u can very well say kamzaur kudi kaun... Well, what is the reason a team of world-beaters on paper fail to perform consistently? There might be a lot of hereditary reasons, but lets analyze player by player and see how he contributes to India’s defeat.

Sehwag: Every time he gets out, people say 'Man, that's his natural game, that’s the way he plays'. Enviable position to be in , just because you are a attacking player with swashbuckling shots, License for irresponsible play ditched out to sehwag for India’s defeat.

Tendulkar: One of the world's best or rather the best player, can't help getting the feeling that is he the best only in term s of stats. His contribution to India’s defeat is his staunch belief that if he stays till the end then the match is invariably won and how many times we have won like that, a big zero.

Ganguly: Though very good captain, batting skills recently needs more to be desired. Bowlers seemed to have sorted him out. No effort on his part to improve this aspect of the game though. So India every time just hopes that the bowlers perform badly so that our captain courageous performs.

Laxman: very good test match player where he can bat day in and day out. One day different cup of tea, all at sea, plays a few exquisite shots and gets out. Our man doesn't know to pace the innings in one dayers added to that he is a slow fielder.

Dravid: One man who plays his heart out for India, the man who has moulded his game to suit one dayers. He is the fulcrum around which recently Indian batting has revolved. Presently batting lower in the order to compensate for the keeping he does in one dayers. He departs early effectively the Indian batting collapses.

Yuvraj: Captain's pet, now captain want this Casanova kid of Indian team to open in test matches. Ha Ha...what is the significant thing he has done in one dayers to earn a place in tests. Though a good fielder, lot is desired of his batting especially when early wickets fall. Still basking in the glory of Natwest win ages back.

Kaif: Another hardworking guy rarely receives a decent opportunity to score runs. Most of the times he gets opportunities only in the slog overs or when half the side is in the pavilion with a huge mountain task to do. Expected to achieve feats that his most illustrious and gifted counterparts could not do.

Bowling: Since we have world beating line up of 7 batsmen we are not considering the ability or skill of the bowlers.

Now lets see mathematically how our team performs:

Going by averages of players lets say if each of them performs 100% the team reaches the score of 289 (35+42+41+41+30+31+29+10+10+10+10). If they play 90% to their potential they can achieve a total of 260, 80% then 231.2, 70% then 202.3 and so on.
Now you see why India invariably loses when chasing scores above 250, it is because team India has to play at least 90% of the potential to achieve a target of 260. So if the score goes beyond that then you see its out of reach because then they will have to play a game out of their skins.

Well now the kamzaur khilade is left to the readers discretion.
